Hi. I'm Jane.
I created this course because I saw too many talented photographers struggle to make a living in a profession they loved.
They were just getting by financially, taking on debt, unable to leave their full-time day job, charging too little, and eventually abandoning their photography businesses.
Having an MBA and working in the corporate world for 9 years before photography helped me grow my photo business to almost $400K with a mix of wedding, family, and commercial people photography.

Hi. I'm Jane and I've been working as a full time photographer for 20 years. I have an MBA from Boston College and Marketing degree from the University of Florida.
I'm a PDN (Photo District News) Faces and Best of ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers) Winner, A WPJA Top 20 Wedding Photographer, and I’ve served as President of the CT ASMP.
I've shot over 200 weddings, over 500 family portraits, and been published in over 100 magazines from Martha Stewart Weddings to Time Magazine to Cosmo to Forbes.

What if I'm already making over $100K - is there anything for me to learn?
Yes, you will definitely get value from this course! You can learn how to improve your business plan, pricing, marketing and efficiency - and how to understand your financials better. My journey is different from yours and one great tip can generate more profit than the price of this course.
How does the course work?
It's a self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish. We recommend you listen to one module per week for 5 weeks and then spend the rest of the day each week taking action.

Why are you only teaching how to get to $100K if you are near $400K?
This course is a first step. A solid plan, sound financials, and marketing that works are the key foundations to building a business to $100K and then beyond. In future courses, we will build on these fundamentals to grow to a bigger business and include more information about running a studio, outsourcing, and hiring help.
If I shoot strictly product/boudoir/architectural/advertising/etc. work...is this course for me?
Yes, the majority of the business planning, financial planning, optimizing your business, and general marketing and networking strategies can be applied to any photography business. The course uses marketing, sales, and pricing examples from the wedding, portrait, and commercial segments because that's what we know. For commercial work, we focus on portraits, lifestyle, headshots, editorial and corporate. That said, we do recommend incorporating at least one segment of people photography into your business and will talk about how and why in the course.
I don't live in a big city or want to travel far for jobs...is the course still relevant?
For sure. I live in a mid-sized town and have no desire to travel overnight to do jobs on a regular basis. That is a big reason that I've structured my business the way I have and created a marketing plan that works in smaller markets. We do not cover destination weddings and most of our jobs are within 10-minutes of our home up to a 2-hour drive.
