About Your Instructor - Jane Shauck

Hi, I’m Jane—a people photographer with a deep love for both the art and the business of photography.

For the last 20 years, I’ve run a full-time photography studio, capturing over 200 weddings and 500+ portraits. My work has been featured in TIME, Forbes, Cosmopolitan, Martha Stewart Weddings, and more than 100 other publications.

I’ve also had the privilege of photographing the New York Mets for the Jumbotron, SNYTV and The Mets for 12 seasons and working with major brands like The Hartford, GE, and M&T Bank.

But I didn’t start here.

With a marketing degree from the University of Florida and an MBA from Boston College, I left corporate life to build a photography business from scratch —one that now generates nearly $400K annually and gives me freedom, flexibility, and purpose.

Now, I help other photographers do the same.

I founded IRIS Photography, Jane Shauck Photography, and Let’s Talk Business with Photojane. I’ve also been President of CT ASMP and a PDN Faces, Best of ASMP and WPJA winner.
